I don`t get why he couldn`t hang with Spurs for 5 Mil.

If Leonard bolts, Manu retires, not sure if I can name more than a couple players left on roster.

Yup. 2 for $10 mil. But still.
Who does Charlotte have in backcourt?

Parker isn't worth ten bucks.. Old, lost a step and done.. Shocked he didn't retire.. Should have retired with the Spurs coming off the bench if continuing to play.. Not right seeing Parker in another uniform other then the Spurs.

Why jeopardize everyone's positive memories of your playing days & success by going to another team on your last leg?

Tony Parker is heading to Charlotte after 17 seasons with the Spurs

He's the 3rd player to play at least 17 seasons with one team before playing elsewhere, joining Karl Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon

Kings should've signed him and used him to teach their young guards (and other other young ones) tips, tricks and other stuff he learned from Pop.

Maybe the Spurs wouldn't give him 5 million a year?

You'd think he would go to a contender at worst in a trade.. Not the case. I don't think Parker needs the 5 million either, then again maybe he does since he took the money and trade deal...

                      Puzzles me also.
Maybe Eva Longorias alimony payments are pretty steep. Idk

He should be playing in Ice Cube's, Big3 league, sooner than later.

It wasn't about the money, it was about getting more playing time. His minutes were going to get cut even more this season, but in Charlotte he would be the primary back up, so would still see significant playing time. Charlotte just signed an Ex-Spurs asst coach as their HC, so it's a coach and system he's familiar with and is also close friends with Batum, both played on the French National team.

The Spurs would have paid more money, but Tony still wants to play.

Eh that's pocket change to him.

                              I don't believe it's about the money.

Like most of us his competitive nature has him believing he can still play like he used to.

Hang up your sneakers & preserve your legacy with the Spurs.

You guys don’t get the big picture? Parker threw Leonard under the bus? Saying his injury was 100x worst then Leonard and he play? So the spurs didn’t resign his ass 2 have any chance to resign Leonard - case closed
