I grew up in Montana. Family had a sizeable ranch/farm growing up. Its the friendlest place you can get. If you break down on the side of the road the first true Montanan will stop to help. Cost of living also is good. Obviously the valley, places like Whitefish, are high. We have Canucks and Californians flooding in like refugees in recent years.
