You guys can't minimize the severity of that achilles injury.. history has shown us guys in the NBA just don't recover from that, especially big men. We won't even see him until January at the earliest.

I doubt he had that many better offers, no GM is handing out a long term deal for a guy who isn't even healed from that injury. Plus, the guy is a proven headcase. GS is the perfect fit for him, team is loaded, he has no pressure and if he comes back as even half the player he was he gets a huge deal from someone else after the upcoming season.
