That's what every country does against Spain in qualifying and it doesn't work. Iran is just better at it than other countries. The vast majority of the time, putting all men behind the ball doesn't work. If Spain is good enough, they'll be able to break through. If they can't, it's because they aren't good enough.

It's like a shift in baseball. If you don't like it, beat it plain and simple.

100% correct. Even in club football, pretty much every team in La Liga try this exactly strategy against Real Madrid and Barcelona so the Spanish players should be used to it. It just shows how good Iran is at it.

LOL if a team doesn't like it, they need to beat it. It's a legitimate strategy that takes great defense and concentration. It also happens all the damn time and is usually unsuccessful so if a team if good enough, the strategy is not hard to beat. Should we take shifting out of baseball too?
