This guy earned Millions. What happened?
A gofundme campaign was set up for the family Monday.
“Over the weekend of June 9th, the Miller family tragically lost their baby Emmy who was 19 months entirely too soon in a tragic drowning accident in the blink of an eye,” the fundraiser page said.
It said the Miller family is navigating a “path of grief and sorry that no parents should ever have to experience” and asked for help covering medical bills and memorial service costs.

Dumb ass parents with a pool and not watch'in their kids. How many more stories do we have to read about little toddlers drowning in pools or being left to die in a hot car? Yeah, it's fuk'in sad, but so preventable.
There's no excuse for idiot parenting. You've got a baby, toddler, youngster, whatever age, you should have eyes on them at all times. All this technology we have nowadays, there's no excuse for it!

Technology is the main problem. Too many parents staring at their phones instead of staring at their kids. Its an epidemic.

I think they were at their next door neighbour's house and they were all inside and the little girl made her way outside if I read it correctly earlier today. Regardless though that gofundme is in seriously bad taste. Bode even put links to it in the Instagram post he made about her death. That's beyond horrible.

You guys can be very judgemental.
I was in the pool with my wife and 2 year old daughter one time when we both suddenly noticed she was between us standing on the bottom of the pool with a big smile on her face.
It happened in seconds.
We noticed in time and no harm was done. But it made me realize just how easlit and how fast these things can happen. Responsible parent or not.

Kids are little Houdinis when they want to be and to compound that, at least when I was living in the US there weren't any pool fence laws in the states I lived in. We see what happens here even when every pool has a fence so it really is a disaster waiting to happen when there is no protection for curious little ones.

Parent shaming is not a good thing for our society. Parents already too over-protective and guilted into not allowing kids to learn and develop enough on their own these days IMHO.

Parents are over protective today.. All you see today here in California are kids and adults wearing helmets when riding bikes, little electric scooters and even skate boards casually and slow in a bike lane or on sidewalks..
When I was growing up you would be called a f\*g or queer if you wore a helmet riding a bicycle.. I use to build ramps and jump trash cans as a kid and I'd wipe out hard on cement.. I never hit my head.. Today's society is soft and only getting softer... Kids on electric scooters and riding bikes around town don't need to wear helmets to ride two blocks on empty residential streets to go to school or to a friends house..
It's a frigg'n joke... I'll never wear a helmet riding a bicycle...

We need sensible pool legislation and registration.
Close the Home & Outdoor Show loophole.
I blame the National Pool Association for promoting pools where the only purpose is to fill them with water and drown.
Only the military should have pools.
Not only should we demand pool registration, but also register the water that goes in them, so it can be tracked.
You don't need a pool. If you're hot and sweaty, just call 911 and in 20 minutes the Police will show up with a pool.
I have a sign on my front door that says, "Pool-Free Zone! No Pools Allowed!"

Or... You could just be a good parent?
I raised a fish of a daughter. It wasn't hard. Take your penetrating eyes off of the candy crush or housewives of Ithaca and watch your God damn kid

If you can barely walk you shouldn't be near pools unsupervised. This is all on parents.

Yeah this is kind of an embarrassment by them if it's real.
They'll probably get a few million out of it too.
Why is this kind of shit even posted on here anyway? Saloon please.

I just realized this happened one city over from me. The child was taken to the hospital here in my city.
Anyways, that doesn't even matter.
Look... as if shit wasn't embbarassing enough with the GoFund me page, you can also buy the family hot meals from local restaurants:
Thank you for your compassion and warm meals as this family grieves in a way that no parents should ever have to. As their community, we can make sure they know they are loved and taken care of. We have changed our request to donations that the family can use on local restaurants and deliveries to provide extra privacy. In deepest gratitude!
