go to a game 10x per year maybe.

watch some condensed games on mlb before bed, or when I get up extra early not on purpose

but its been over a decade since I watch a full 9 inning game on tv. World Series, playoffs included

doesn't matter what fans think of stats

gamblers and more importantly professional front offices are ALL about stats

its the longest sample size season with the most consistentcy where stats can be predictive.

front offices are paying millions of dollars to crunch stats, and analyze them in new ways.

fans are funding sites to the tunes of hundreds of millions to show them advanced analytics

tv stations with broadcasting rights paying billions of dollars, are falling all over themselves trying to out advance metric the other station


its just the way it is now.
