The official "Mickey Calloway Death Watch" thread.
I've seen enough of this nut job. I have no clue what he's doing every single day.

I'm tired of this stupid team. Until the owner and his stupid family dies or sells the team, it'll always be this way. As for Callaway, I've been reading the game logs this past week from opening day onward just catching myself up...and the NY media will destroy him. If the bottom falls out, he'll be gone this season. So many questionable managerial decisions in such a short amount of time already. You go from a tactician like Terry Collins to this.

Mets manager Mickey Callaway gets right to the point: “We’re not playing the game the right way.”
Brilliant!!

This is awful. It's the same situation as the NY Giants. People bitched about an experience coach and a clueless one was brought in to replace.

It has to be Callaway because he never moves the batting order around.

Lets get Omar back in there as GM and clean this shit up. That's the best we can do with these owners.

He is now one of three with Alderson gone.
They just have to get this guy out of here. It's the same situation as the Giants went through with McAdoo.

Callaway replaces relief pitcher before pinch hitter was announced. Phillies call back pinch hitter and now that hitter is still available.
Mets announcers are roasting Callaway right now

Lol amatuer hour
Mets organization is just a joke.
Why are degrom and Synderguard still on the team? You have no shot to compete while they are in their primes and dealing both could set you up for years to come.

They are still under team control next year at a cheap price. If they don’t get a kings ransom for them they should just hold them and see what happens next year.

His coaching decisions are worse than that of the coach of the Thailand soccer team.

Set up for what?
One thing I guarantee you - if you swapped out the Mets and Yankee rosters 2 or 3 years ago, the teams would be pretty much where they are today.
The Wilpons (who were fukkin' partnered with Bernie fukkin' Madoff - part owner of the Mets) are pathological about making money, winning is not prioritized - much like the pre-Ricketts Cubs.
The small upside is that they made an A+ ballpark to watch a game, whereas the new Yankee Stadium is retarded.

Yankee stadium is horrible. So sterile looking and it's a nightmare to walk from behind the seats in RF to go to LF. It laid out like crap.

Keeping with this thread from last year.....
He put himself in a corner with his moves where he can't use Seth Lugo or Edwin Diaz today. The guy has no idea what he's doing as a manager. Fire his ass!!!

I'm surprised he's not told to find his own way home. The Mets suck and holding the manager accountable is a must at this point. Get rid of him.

Mets brass just reported Callaway’s job is safe, for now.
Typical Wilpons, waiting til things get so bad they will be out of contention
Cant wait to hear the boo birds tomorrow at Citi

New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway reportedly shouted profanities at a Newsday reporter in the clubhouse Sunday and starting pitcher Jason Vargas challenged the reporter to a fight and had to be restrained from going after him.
The incident came after the Mets' bullpen blew a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning Sunday in what resulted in a 5-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Callaway instructed the team's public relations staff to escort Newsday's Tim Healey from the clubhouse, telling them to "get this m-----f----- out of here," according to multiple reporters present.
When Healey did not leave, Vargas then stared him down and shouted at him, including saying, "I'll knock you the f--- out, bro," according to a Yahoo Sports account.
Vargas charged at Healey but was held back by teammates, including Carlos Gomez and Noah Syndergaard. No punches were thrown in the incident.
Callaway, the Mets' embattled second-year manager, received a vote of confidence from first-year general manager Brodie Van Wagenen in late May after the club was swept by the Marlins in a three-game series in Miami. Sunday's loss dropped the Mets to 37-41 on the season, nine games behind first-place Atlanta in the National League East.
The Mets did make a change on their coaching staff Thursday when they fired pitching coach Dave Eiland and bullpen coach Chuck Hernandez.

It's a known fact that any punch Jason Vargas throws gets hit to left center for a double.

I don’t follow Mets closely enough to know how bad Calloway is but it Tough blaming the manager when all the moves you make to bolster the pen have turned out terrible!
They even took on Cano’s terrible contract thinking they were getting a lock down closer, Diaz has been anything but “lock down” and apparently (according to Calloway anyways) he incapable of going more than 3 outs!!
Familia has been insanely bad. Lugo has been far and away their best option so not sure why he getting blamed for having him in vs cubs big bats? I guess cause it didn’t look like he had it leading up to the Beaz ab, it a tough situation as a manager when you don’t have anyone in pen that you can trust!

I've been following the Mets for over 40 yrs. He's easily their worst manager and I'm including Art Howe.
