That's irrelevant. Obviously having better players available make for a better team, but the Celtics earned the two seed without Haywood, and made the ECF without Irving. They didn't just get a handicap pass. It'd be different if Boston lost those guys in the midst of their series with Cleveland, but that's not the way it happened.

The Celtic team that was on the floor for the entire series is the one that was good enough to make the conference finals. Cleveland on the other hand lost Love for most of game six and all of game seven.
