I have to disagree here pal. Halep and dominant should never be used in the same sentence. She has good movement and defense but is a counter puncher for the most part and doesn't hit enough winners. She depends too much on her opponents making errors and I don't like her game very much. Against the bigger hitters, the game is always on their racquet. Muguruza will pound her into submission, if she makes it that far.

one thing I do admire about Halep is she never gives up and fights back. I do admire her fighting spirit but sadly, that won't be enough I'm afraid.

I actually think Kerber or Stephens will be the toughest opponent for Muguruza right now.

She's in amazing physical shape and relies on getting to the extra ball during a point and banks on outlasting them.
Kerber got destroyed after winning the first set today because shes always in shit shape (yes her body looks lean and ripped but her cardio is horrific) and doesn't train as hard as Halep (Cost her in the Aussie Open as well as she couldn't lift her arm or breathe for 90% of the marathon 3rd set they had).
Eventually after pounding a few winners you're gonna have to be able to rally for long periods of time to get by halep.

The 2 best players in the world right now Halep & Svitolina (Svit will be debatable to a lot of people but shes there) are both that way. Svitolina isn't going to pound you with winners either. She's gonna keep the balls in play until you mess up.

Should be a great Seminfinal tomorrow either way.
Halep has the slam black cloud over her head though and Muguruza has shown she's conquered that part of the game.
I'll probably take the over in it but lean and rooting for Halep.

save your lesson for some newb, I know all about tennis and the different surfaces dude. I was speaking in general about Halep's game. Muguruza and Halep are both great movers on clay but the match will be on Garbine's racquet. It should be a great match and Garbine wins assuming she doesn't hit a ton of unforced errors. Svitolina and Halep are not the best of anything until they win a major. If Halep beats Muguruza on her way to the title, I'll give her some props. Until then, my money is on Muguruza. The one small edge Halep might have over Muguruza is her fighting spirit. The player's that give max effort 100% of the time are few and far between and Halep never gives up.

Gotta go Halep in 3 and then I'll reluctantly go Stephens in 3.
Stephens is big overachiever and Keys is a massive underachiever.
Stephens is no where near as good as her names been built up and is one of the most overrated players in the game right now but if she makes another slam final you'd have to give her a little respect I guess. Her effort on a week to week basis is horrible. Doesn't travel well (loves playing on US soil), doesn't train hard.
Keys after all the injuries and mental instabilities has never been able to win the big match. Has the tools, doesn't have the nerves.
Rooting for Keys but I don't think she can get there.

My only wager will be the Halep/Mugz over 22 in all likelihood even though it seems kind of square and then possibly Halep 2-1 for a sprinkle as well.

Stephens -1.5 Sets - 2 units to win 2.7

Keys havent really been tested on her way to the Semis. Stephens show mental toughness against Giorgi and Dismantled the youngsters in Kontaveit and Kasktina. The last two matches on Hard court was one in straight sets by Stevens; and thats keys bread and Butter. I give Stephens the edge on a slower service and the ability to keep Keys moving around and finally succumbing to all the balls being returned to her.

- I cant pick a winner here but I do see fight in both players. Their only meeting on clay saw three sets. I deally i want to see Muguruza win the first set because I know the Romanian(Simona Halep) will come back kicking in the second. Hopefully yesterdays match didnt wear her down.
