The Mets are going to get creative with their starting pitching Monday.
New York will play two games against the Braves as part of a double-header and it will start Jacob deGrom in Game 1. However, in Game 2, manager Mickey Callaway is planning to start with an opener (a reliever as a starter), just like the Rays did with Sergio Romo last week.
Callaway told reporters Friday he may start Robert Gsellman or Seth Lugo in Game 2 and give them a couple of innings before giving way to Corey Oswalt or Chris Flexen.
