i kind of expect WSH to win tonight. they haven't been bad the past 2 games, imo they outplayed TB the 2nd half of game 5. the difference has been tampa's depth, too many guys who can put it away off of the Caps' mistakes. i think WSH will clean it up on their home ice, though. holtby's been fine, if they can limit mistakes & get a goal from a role player, this series should go to 7.

but they are the fuckin Caps.... if they go down early, that building is gonna be full of nervous energy

I am 15-4 my last 19 hockey bets and if I bet tonight it will be on the caps. 3/4 of my losses are the last 3 caps games. I think they will force a game 7. The fact no home team won until last game is just weird. Caps won’t lose three in a row at home. Doesn’t matter who they play they should win tonight at home. If they win tonight I think they will also win game 7. They are just making some really bad plays lately.

At least they stopped TB on the PP last game. Give TB credit for not taking penalties last game. I picture the Caps winning 3-0 tonight.

I know its after the fact but I see Washington as the better team in this series, they are much bigger and have been hitting like crazy. Tampa not built to play as physically as the Caps.

I'm all in on Wash in game 7 in Tampa. I also think the Caps match up better vs Las Vegas than Tampa.

I do. If Washington plays as physically as they did in game 6 they will roll in game 7. Tampa nowhere near as physical. This is playoff hockey.

tampa has more offensive talent imo, but you can't fake urgency, the kind of urgency that choking year after year will create, the kind of desperation the Caps have right now that has everyone going at maximum focus & effort.

i hate to say this since i'm on the hook big time for a TB series win, but i see WSH as more of a -150 than TB is right now. +1.5 WSH might be worth a look, or some +0.5 WSH period bets. Tampa better get their shit together or they'll be golfing by the weekend

i think a lot of the time in hockey, skill will be trumped by effort because the league has the best parity of the major sports. not saying they're world's better than WSH offensively, but they scored the most goals in the league this year, it's one of their strengths. i do think the Caps win Wednesday, Holtby's been back to his usual self for a few weeks now & their defense looks good as well, they just made a handful of bad mistakes in 4 & 5 that cost them the games. tampa's back end (other than hedman) has never impressed me, very sloppy at times. that's how you lose close games. but they're at home now, who the hell knows. if they skate on cruise control again they're gonna lose by a touchdown
