It's because The Finals are scheduled (due to making sure they get prime TV spots) to start on May 30th. If the both series go 5 games then they could have almost a week off before it begins. It's all about the TV $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Was referring more to the start time. Could have 1 game in the afternoon, and the other in the evening.

There will always be conflict from conference finals on forward because all games will be at night. Last NBA afternoon game was NBA East Game 1 and last NHL afternoon game was last round.

Blowouts happens - there is a few reason for spreading out games ? 1.marketing 2. Product - why does the super bowl take 2 weeks off? Nothing adds more viewers then build ups
