I guess my main point is I do not think he is the stone cold lock most people make him out to be. Especially if I am right about my Quip out-breaking him for the lead.

I never said he is the better horse, these conditions suit him. And there is ZERO value in betting ANY horse to win the Triple Crown at less than +200 like the odds are here.

when the announcer said 'and out of the mist comes Proud Clarion' it
was so foggy he finally was able to
see the contenders with about a furlong to go.

1968 the 3 yr. old year of two of the top 10 races horses ever to race. Dr. Fager
who wasn't ready to run in the TC races & his nemesis Damascus
who lost the Derby to Proud Clarion but won the Preakness & Belmont.

Belmont being much longer, Justify will need to figure out how to not let horses catch up like that. Should be fun in 3 weeks.

Exactly! I wouldn't feel confident with Justify at the Belmont. That's an ugly win for such a "dominant" horse.

The Belmont is 3/8 of a mile longer and 2 horses only needed an extra 100 yards to win, they were
gaining fast. I think it will be like Majestic Prince in the Belmont as one writer said about MP he tried to run a
double into a triple.

Oh yeah, He's dead. Remember his real competitors saved their horses to beat him at Belmont fully rested. He almost had a handful with Good Magic. If GM had been saved he'd of killed him at Belmont.
