Sorry but absolutely fade this pick. Tampa rolls this series easily and wins 4-1 if not 4-0. The capitals won their own little Stanley cup by beating the Pens and are toast. The bolts are on a completely different level. Plus the Caps can only score with the refs help.

Who knows i'm choosing to disregard the line on this one. I think they want people to second guess the caps run at this. If they made the line lower they might get hit too hard.

The caps defense will wear on Tampa. The scorers will slowly shrivel up. Their defensive schemes are incredible this year.

Decent argument but Hedman and Stralman play so many minutes then throw in McDonagh. All around Tampa is absolutely stacked with quality defensively and in offence. Caps can and only will win games with at least 2 PP goals

TB is stacked at every position and are well rested. this will be tough for Caps.

Ovechkin is long overdue and the Caps will not blow this opportunity at getting to the finals. They will be on their best game tonight and the Lightning won’t be ready for the Caps. Caps are a better team and they just keep getting better as the plaoffs go on.

Of course I could be completely wrong and lose a dime tonight lol.

As a bettor, Washington going to the finals would be a financial disaster for me. As a fan, Winnipeg vs Washington would be the best series, with Laine triumphing over Ovechkin and denying him the cup. Winnipeg has made a series of excellent pics: Laine, Ehlers, Connor, Hellebuyck, etc. Over time, though, I think Scheifele will have been the most solid - recommended by Hawerchuk himself.

Anyway, Vegas and Lightning or its harakiri time.
