High school and AAU basketball teammates for many years. We grew up together. We were both points guards. He is number 12 is this picture and I'm #25. Man I got some stories i could tell about Chris! Every summer in high school we would go down to UNC-Wilmington in the summer for a week of basketball camp/tournament. Teams from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia would come down for the week long camp/tournament. Our senior year we were by far and away the heavy favorite to take down the title. We got to the Championship game of the tournament and Chris played a bad game and we got beat by Raleigh Wakefield ( had some D-1 talent). After every game we would take the team bus back to the dorms about 1 mile away from Trask coliseum where we played our games. CP3 was so pissed he wouldn't get on the bus and ran back to the dorms. When he got back to the dorm he ripped into every one of us and told us losing was not a option. We won some big games/tournaments/titles before as well. He would carry us just like he did the Rockets last night. Go get that title CP3!!!!

Chris always wanted to play college basketball at Carolina. He was a big Carolina fan growing up but a year ahead of us Carolina had a point guard out of Latta South Carolina named Raymond Felton. Carolina barely recruited Chris because of Raymond Felton. Wake Forest and Skip Prosser recruited Chris very hard. I could tell you about some major NCAA violations

. The day after Chris signed with Wake forest 3 black kids murdered his grandfather 10 mins from where we played. He was 61 years old when he was murdered. Our first game back (2nd game of our senior year) we played @ Parkland and chris went off. He had 59 points with like 3 mins left in the game and he got a AND 1 driving to the basket. That put him at 61 points (1 point for every year his grandad was alive) and he had 1 free throw left. He threw the ball away on the FT attempt and walked off the court crying. I checked in for him. The sports moment was INCREDIBLE!!! CP3!!!!!

I was down in Houston Feb 23rd for the Rockets T wolves game. It was the 1st game back after the all star break. Chris got me and my little brother court side seats. Got to meet James Harden for the 1st time. Jeff Teague out played Chris this game. They have a little rivalry both guards came from Wake Forest and Chris doesn't believe Teague gives him the respect he deserves.

We did not play Providence day that was Charlotte area. We played South Mecklenburg out of Charlotte in state playoffs.

Im number 25 in this pic 2 down from Chris Paul who is #12. The crazy thing about this picture is #13 Ja Rick Boxley. He was a Derrick Rose type point guard would have gone to any college he wanted to go to and would have made the NBA. He got caught robbing a grocery store the night before a state playoff game and got kicked off the team. He was every bit as good as Chris Paul but he started smoking pot early and got into big trouble.
