You're seeing the high number because:
1) It's must win game for Pittsburgh so the public knows they're going to win and have and will bet it accordingly today. Ask San Jose how that must win thing worked out as a favorite vs. Vegas last night.
2) Because Pittsburgh has won all but one playoff series from Washington since the earth was flat and the Caps always have late series gags, it commands a high price.
Add those two together and you get -190 something.

Pittsburgh isn’t San Jose - they will humiliate the caps tonight and win game 7

They get too lazy and sloppy on defense for me to risk money on them.

agree with A4k...last game prime example. Have the lead and the defense blows it and the Caps get a breakaway and score. Just terrible. PK has been terrible and yes, some of that's due to the Caps being very good. However, they have opportunities to clear the puck and end up failing to do so because they are over complicating things--extra touch, which delays a clear, and then the Caps are able to keep it in the zone. Also, their PK is so concerned with the Russian getting his shot off that they are allowing way too much space for the other guys. Just a disaster to this point .

Don't bet on it. Hard to humiliate a team that has played almost every game better them. If you don't pay attention to the final score in looking back at the series to this point (this is what you have to do to cap hockey and sometimes baseball), you see that the Caps are winning in almost all aspects of the game.

And they are the back to back defending champions.

I've been suprised by the Caps this year. I've watched every play off game and Pittsburgh has never looked better or dominate.
It might just end tonight.
How much does Pittsburgh have in the tank after two Stanley cup runs?

I am not betting on tonight's game. I think there's a strong chance I lose my nickel bet on the Pens to win the series tonight.

What’s more likely? Pit wins or Wash loses by less than 2? They’re close in price and one gives you a much better option

I think the Caps have a 80% chance of closing it out!l they are +165 lol that is such good value its a joke. I am betting Capitals 100%. Not only are they the better team but the odds ate just too amazing to turn down. Could make even more profit taking caps on 3 way money line. Caps gonna win 3-1.

I got confused on the format. Didn't realize they were at home.
I'll say a few observations from watching most of the playoffs this year.
Caps are def better as a team and a unit and not pulling a "Rockets". They look good and matchup very well and are winning in most metrics. Those long runs can wear a team out (Pitt)
Pitts D has regressed no doubt, and sometimes I'm questioning the SOME of the players fire (owned Caps ass for so long). They could of also won the other game when it should of gone to OT but they gave the breakaway
Ovechkin looks very hungry, as does his team.
Can I take the Caps in Pitt for this type of survival game? I can't. Am I paying -200? Doubt it. Looking at the total
Pitt 4-2 win. I'll eat crow if the caps pull it off and look very promising.
caps have been in every game this series...thinking the Pens blow them out and/or hold them under 2 goals is foolish

I can't lie. Caps are different this year. I don't know what changed in the off season, I don't follow them that closely. They def have leadership and are playing like dogs.

Yeah Pittsburgh IS San Jose, done for the season. Again, ask the Sharks how that must win thing is working out.
