I agree, no doubt there is a PR and adaptive element to it, but from now on generations with the blood of African slaves from North America can legitimately say they are English royalty. Doesn't get much further away from British and European than that. It may be good for the current social climate but it obliterates the idea of English royalty. Hell maybe that's a good thing though

Yeah but when ur talking about Saxon England we're going back over 1500 years. Saxon is English, and predated a unified Kingdom of England by several hundred years. If we want to just keep going back we'll get into Neanderthal blood too

You make a good point about Queen Charlotte. Even though she was European royalty I had forgotten she had possible distant African heritage although that is disputed. Markle's is ~ 50% but still you make a good point.

I don't think that the Sax Colberg or whatever it was called was disbanded till after ww1. The German bloodline tends to run deep because, up till this generation, they tended to intermarry their relatives.

I think even Charles and Diana were distant cousins.
I know William and Kate are related thou distantly.

They were Germans to that point, under the parent House of Wetten- all receiving stipends from the huge Estates governed by the German King(s)
