I'd take him over Antonio Gates anyday, 1st ballot HOFer, class act and all around winner

Gates has got numbers only comparable to Gonzalez but he was a garbage blocker and never a winner or team player

Good player. No shot at being a 1st ballot HoF inductee. Never even close to being the best at his position at any point in his career. Great to hear he was a team player. Too bad his teams were garbage his entire career.

only 3 tight ends have had 4 1000 receiving yard years.

Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski, and Jason Witten. Gates not on this list

Jason Witten Very Overrated Goody Two Shoes Gringo. Too slow too stiff. He had hands but he was slower then Molasses. I never understood the infatuation with him with all the ball hanging NFLers would give him. Good player but not great player.

Great football player, smart, studied and understood the game. He wasn't that fast, overly athletic, or had great leaping ability, but somehow always seemed to be open. He had great hands, knew how to set up defenders, use body position and leverage. The guy missed one game in 15 years, the guy's tough and played hurt. He wasn't flashy, just got the job done.

You are blinded by your love of a shitty team and their steady but not spectacular te who was part of just 2 playoff wins in 14 years. Get the ice packs ready for Mrs.opie’s eyes when Witten doesn’t get the call on his 1st try. Opie’s mommy will have to cut another check to make it go away....again.

Not a single defensive coordinator ever lost a minute of sleep trying to come up with a plan to shut down Witten. The other 3 mentioned, yes they most certainly did.

A solid but unspectacular player. He had a solid career. He finally saw the writing on the wall, knew that Dallas, like all teams from Texass, was going nowhere in the near future, and decided to get out while he was still in one piece. Once again Opie shows why homers from Texass are some of the dumbest people around.
