And they still build stadiums without retractable roofs. It doesn't make sense when you can use them for concerts and other shit year round.

What would happen if sustained rainy weather rained out game after game after game? Could make for impossible situations later. Always surprised this hasn't seemed to happen before.

heavy rain for more than 2 days in a row not that likely. they could always move games to the other teams park and reverse the schedule. or if teams are out of it in september just cancel makeup games. all this has happened to some degree before.

I know. I'm just saying if shit got really unlucky, it could get crazy. To me, teams have too many off days in April/May and too many scheduled games in Aug/Sept. They should save more open days.

Trump has been in office just over a year and he's already fixed global warming.

Atlantic Ocean Current Slows Down To 1,000-Year Low, Studies Show

                                          April 13, 20185:40 PM ET

The Greenland ice sheet, the second largest body of ice in the world which covers roughly 80 percent of the country, has been melting and its glaciers retreating at an accelerated pace in recent years due to warmer temperatures.

                                          David Goldman/AP

An Atlantic Ocean current that helps regulate the global climate has reached an 1,000-year low, according to two new studies in the journal Nature.

While scientists disagree about what's behind the sluggish ocean current, the shift could mean bad news for the climate. The Atlantic Meridional overturning circulation [AMOC] – often called the conveyor belt of the ocean – exchanges warm water from the equator with cold water in the Arctic.

"The last 100 years has been its lowest point for the last few thousand years," Jon Robson, a researcher at the University of Reading and one of the study's authors, told The Washington Post. "These two new papers do point strongly to the fact that the overturning has probably weakened over the last 150 years."
