But the least consistency in officiating.
The only sport in which it's officials (Umpires) are allowed to totally ignore the rulebook & make up their own as they go along game to game (strike zone)
The main reason I don't follow MLB closely.

Balls/Strikes should be called digitally. I hate how so many home plate umps make a spectacle of themselves with the over the top "LOOK @ ME" calls. Whoever is in charge of these freakin` guys should have the ability to discipline them.

With the strike-zone technology, 60-win team will become 40-win team, while 90-win teams end up in 110+ wins. If technology is introduced, they cannot manipulate the games. That's why Vegas and MLB are against any kind of strike-zone technology introduction.

You can't even get through an entire game without being loaded. Even when I go to a game in person its hard to get through all 9 innings. I wish they'd make it a 7 inning game. I would watch a lot more games if they did.

In a relative way, baseball was a lot "easier" to cap...15-20 years ago.Teams now carry 12+ pitchers and that make things a lot harder. When one knew that a starter would go 7,8,9 innings( if he pitched well).....the line was based 85+% on the two starters.

My angels won't go anywhere just like my teams in every other sport. Last championship for one of my teams was 2007.

There are managers, umpires and more than 18 players that contribute to the final stats and score of each MLB game. Each group are professionals and each has a job to do.
Together, they do the job.

While I agree at this point it pretty stupid we can all see a box on the screen and know what a ball or strike is while the ump doesn't. having a kid back behind plate w a iPad would prob be more accurate but it would also render my large notebook on all the umps useless which would kinda suck! I put a lot of work into that thing!! Lol
