#2This applies to every athlete who ever played any sport in history.
No athlete gives 100% effort 100% of the time. Its simply unfeasible.

#6Every season is too long, the only exception being the NFL. Hockey and basketball go 82 games, baseball 162! Football is 16 weeks, once a week. Every game is important. Heck, every PLAY is important! In every other sport guys take games "off" regularly. Everyone knows that.Comment -

#8NBA is 2 team league Cavs and Warriors.. Until the Rockets or Raptors break thru it's the same old story year after year now.. Makes the NBA a little boring and predictable.. Golden State Warriors should walk thru these playoffs right to the title, might get a little resistance from the Rockets but don't hold your breath.. Cavs won't do anything to stop the Warriors in the finals either..Comment -

Even if you aren't a tennis fan go watch one of this guy's matches.
You'll wish every athlete played like he does.

There are plenty of instances in regular tennis matches where it makes sense not to risk tiring yourself out.
In fact, tennis is a perfect example of a sport where players are always trying to calculate and achieve the optimal use of their energy.Comment -

#29Stupid/ pointless article. In that opening paragraph he references a game which took place in exhibition season -opening day of the exhibitions no less!! Of course NBA players take plays off -surely everyone knew this already.
Depends on what the role of the player is; if you're a scorer like Randolph then you will want to rest here & there, whereas if you're a role player then you damn well better scrap every possession.Comment -

#30Funny to read Jahil Okafor commenting on it. This guy can't get mins on a lottery team. Eliminated in March, they have nothing to do but develop their youngsters. He's a youngster, but not on the floor. He & Noel, BAD BAD picks.Comment -
