Buses. Here in the DR there are crashes all the fukkin time. Always the same.
The biggest 2 bus lines are part of the elite of the country. The drivers are all maniacs.
Very unsafe drivers. Of course, it is a better/safer mode of transportation than the "moto concho" riding around at night with no lights, carrying 3 passengers, a pig and a propane tank.
So sad. So avoidable. RIP.

I read that there were survivors who were paralyzed, those are probably the saddest cases, top athletes one moment, on a wheelchair for the rest of their lives the next.

This is so sad as these young hockey players dreams were snuffed out in seconds.....One of the biggest supporters of Junior Hockey in Canada is Don Cherry...He loves the kids. Will be difficult for him to hold it together on "Hockey Night in Canada" this evening.....My Prayers to all the families affected...

Seems as though they hit a patch of black ice approaching a stop sign and slid into the intersecting road where they were struck full speed by a truck hauling bags of peat moss. It was a very ugly scene.

Very sad.
Town of 6000 decimated. The Broncos of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, were on their way to a game when their team bus crashed, killing at least 15 people, authorities said.
Crazy how the team all look like brothers.
Derek Grayson and Nick bonding and healing in hospital
.
Yeah, very brother-like. Looks like a bunch of Swedes. So sad.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

I’m no hair expert, but I’m pretty sure they all dyed their hair. That’s why look alike. Might be a couple brothers in there though.

It must be a hockey thing because I knew someone in college who played for a local league hockey team and dyed his hair blonde when they were in the playoffs for their league.

Not roads usually.
Having done the fedex thing thruought rural SD you see so many roads that don't even have stop signs and so many large rigs where drivers fall asleep.
Long day driving, all looks the same, heat blasting, flat drive....guy probably dozed off and didn't slow at unmarked intersection.

Appears as though there were stop signs on the minor road the bus was traveling on . Looking at the pic, looks as though truck was coming from right to the left on the main road and the bus was coming from top towards the bottom. The speed limit for the road the truck was on varies from 55 to 70 mph and there was likely not much he could do at a high speed with all that weight. In such a lightly traveled area, it was just really bad luck that as the bus slid through the stop that a massive trailer was at just right spot to not be able to react in any meaningful way.

Turns out this intersection is very deadly
6 died a decade ago in similar incident
In this case here, the hockey team had right of way- no stop sign
Truck had stop sign but ran it
Witnesses and locals say semis run stop sign all the time
CBC news has aerial photos of scene in wide lens. Much like the Dakotas, its barren, snow covered flat fields....looking more and more like trucker fell asleep and ran stop sign
