They have so much power in their lineup, if their bats get hot, they will be very hard to beat.
The pitching staff isnt the best in the majors, but when you score 5+ runs every game that can cover up a lot of pitching problems.
    ?
what you say boys? agree? disagree? just want to tell me to fuk off? fire away.......

coach i agree pitching wins the WS, but that lineup can and WILL cover up a lot for an average to above average starting staff.

Like I said if they pick up a big name starting pitcher later in season by trade deadline when busted ass teams are selling everything worth anything, then they have a shot to make the WS.

wasn't Stantons first at bat a home run? wouldn't that constitute as having a hot bat alreadY?

Thanks for the insight. I always thought that the Yankees would be a 60 win team as soon as their bats got hot. Same with any other team when their bats get hot. I'm surprised you haven't been hired at Fangraphs as a writer yet for providing such valuable baseball insight to the rest of us.

Stanton struck out what 5 times yesterday? 2 home runs the first game and not much since then doesn't constitute a hot start imo. When you have an average staff, average bats will not win you games. there are many teams that can/will have hot bats and still lose more games than they should.

This team can win games solely on their bats alone is what im saying.

not a very good start tbh, look at these numbers. stanton alone has struck out 8 times in the last 2 games. sanchez was like 0-18 before his homerun today.
