Because there are so many bad teams in the NL so it's hard to have 100 loss seasons when you're playing 5-6 other teams on your level. IIRC by early June last year 7 of the 15 teams were already projected to have less than 5% chance of making the playoffs.Originally posted by MinnesotaFats
If Detroit was in the AL East it would be a 100 loss candidate for sure. But because KC, Detroit and the White Sox face each other so many times, none of them will be the worst. Same issue with the NL East. I'm thinking Baltimore as a limping dark horse that hasn't been mentioned yet. That team has had extreme luck over the years outperforming its pythagorean and Showalter's lucky rabbit's foot is overdue to wear off.Comment -
