Wonderlic scores for top QB's supposedly Leaked
This year, most of the quarterback scores have been made public by former NFL scout John Middlekauff. He listed off the scores on a recent Fox Sports Radio podcast appearance on "The Herd With Colin Cowherd."

Here's what he claims are the scores:

    Wonderlic scores for 2018 QBs

    1. Josh Allen: 37
    2. Josh Rosen: 29
    3. Sam Darnold: 28
    4. Baker Mayfield: 25
    5. Lamar Jackson: 13

13 would be about the average if you answered each question randomly

He got a 6 on the first take, then a 14 on the retake...

                  This is from 2011...

The Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test is a 12-minute, 50-question exam designed to measure the learning and problem-solving abilities of potential employees.

The NFL began administering the test nearly 30 years ago. The scoring scale operates on a system of one point per correct answer.

Subjects with average intelligence are expected to score in the area of 20 points, and those who can't muster double-digits are considered to be illiterate.

The test doesn't tell everything about a player, only basic intelligence. Positive Wonderlic results don't guarantee NFL success, nor do low scores guarantee a disappointing career.

Dan Marino, for example, scored a 16 on his Wonderlic; the average for NFL quarterbacks is 24.

Former Bengals punter Pat McInally (Harvard) scored the only perfect 50 in the history of the test's administration. He claims the score hurt his draft status since several teams shied away from picking a smart player who could potentially clash with the coaches.

Boston College graduate and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mike Mamula scored the only 49 in 1995. Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (Harvard), Browns tight end Ben Watson (Georgia) and Chiefs wideout Kevin Curtis (Utah State) have scored the only 48's.

A score under 10 should really qualify you as developmentally disabled.

                        Yes, so did Frank Gore.
There's a few others with even lower test scores.

Frank Gore scored a 6 and in many games was the best athlete on the field.

I agree stealthy, I saw some sample tests.

These players have 12 minutes and 50 questions. Surely nearly anyone can get 10 right? Especially when so many are breaking 20 or even 30.

The range from 50 down to 4 is almost unbelievable.

SBR should administer a wonderlic test to everyone and then post the scores

                            average score would be 11

depends on how complex your system/playbook can be for certain players. im not saying the test means everything, but its somethkng secondary you can take into consideration

I really dont think they should do away with it, I just dont think it should be given any big treatment, secondary like Losco said, something to consider when other things align with play. There are some good qb's who had low scores and some horrible qb's who had great scores.

comparing scores from a generation or 2 ago is like comparing apples and screws

those guys probably took it half drunk and spent 30 seconds to circle the answers

there's no doubt sat-prep type classes for it now and 10 practice tests before they let them loose to try and spell their name

Yeah I was wondering about that too

I have taken a few sample ones and it seems being familiar with the type of questions would be helpful

Yeah, it's not so much about a lot of practice but just a little knowledge of what to expect.

I would imagine, unless you score very high, you would almost always to better on a retake.

It's timed so if you are caught off guard at the beginning and not a solid test taker, you could panic for the rest of the test.

But for fuksake, there's plenty of time and the questions aren't that tough to not break a score of 10.

I'm pretty sure all were multiple choice and had 3-4 answers to choose from, so anything below 10 has to be all guesses or illiteracy

A lot of first time takers might not get through all the questions in the time allowed so 15 might not be so bad if it's from 30-35 questions
