Fabricio Alvarado is a christian extremist who is linked to the most corrupt faith merchant in America, Ronny Chaves. He claims he is gonna take out CR of the Human Rights court to avoid approving in vitro fertilization and gay marriage. He has based his campaign on lies, cancelling debates, no government plan whatsoever and making his team out of the leftovers of the parties that lost during 1st round. He is appealing to the poor class, the coastal illiterate population, the opportunists and the homophobes with a hate agenda. He never finished college. Guy is a choir singer and a journalist with no backup. His wife has a "curation" hospital where they restore gay people into straight people.

Carlos Alvarado is the candidate for the continuity of the present government, very prepared and experienced, studied in England business management and social politics. Has a great team to support his government plan and is in favor of human rights for everybody, and more taxes to qualm the fiscal crisis that is coming upon this country... he is the best candidate by far but the shadow of the present government lays upon him due to cases of corruption uncovered... cases which he helped uncover but still manage to be tainted by them...

I'm voting for Carlos, elections are next Sunday. if Fabricio wins... CR is going to shit. Already a huge climb in violence against women and gay people, since this guy started campaign.

Ticos that live in the bubble want Carlos to win. Most that live outside of the bubble want Fabricio. The bubble refers to the more Americanized middle-income ticos. There are way, way more ticos that live outside of the bubble. They're highly conservative, and they're tired of the corruption, tired of the career politicians, the increased cost of living, etc. They're tired of the same-old, same-old. Fabricio won this in the initial election, and he has the support of PLN.
