Nah, they have Michigan (one of the biggest nationally followed schools) two #1 seeds, and Duke. It's not like Cincinnati, Gonzaga, or Virginia have a huge national following. A little chaos in one region is fine. It's what the tourney is about. UNC exiting early on that side of the bracket is the only team out that hurts the TV ratings. Maybe Ohio State. People still remember George Mason and Butler's runs in the tourney.

I think it's crazy that Loyola is going to make the FF, and they needed a last second shot to beat Miami (if they miss they lose). And same thing with Michigan vs Houston. If Poole misses that shot, they lose.

Is Villanova even a well followed school? I've never seen Nova gear in Vegas, the Midwest or out West. I know Philly is the #4 TV market and Nova won it all 2 years ago...but I don't see them as big outside of the east coast.

I think Villanova is still a big name in basketball, even going back to their old days in the old Big East with Syracuse, Georgetown, etc. Jay Wright does plenty of commercials. I think tv execs would be happy with them.

Heard they were dying when Kentucky lost - They needed a blue blood out of the South, but Loyola is a much better story and may actually help ratings next week!
