K-State is simply way too average to make the final four here. And they’re a team that cannot fully take advantage of Loyola’s lack of size. Loyola in a good spot here IMO.

I have no opinion on who is the better team... but assuming you are correct and loyola is the better team for this game... the answer is purely in public perception. It is the oddsmakers duty to find a balance in public opinion, NOT to find the true score differential

Look that Sister Jean thing was a nice feel good story but this is another day. KSt has talented physical aggressiveness. Stepping up on def may be a key here. Can't say I know for sure but KState is going to make the Ramblers pay for every basket. If KState can control the paint as well they have a chance. Easily see this as a one basket finish.

I went ahead and picked up Loyola on the moneyline.

I have them winning 65-63 and am rolling with my numbers.

My non predictive public gauge, a weighted amalgam of the publicly consumed ratings combined with recent performance, has K State winning by one point.

While Loyola seems to be a public darling, as was mentioned, it is my opinion that they really aren't when it comes to the base of backers that K State brings with them. Tournament or not, there's just too much of an established economy with K State and it's fringes that won't be deterred.

That may not be "market moving" money, but it is most certainly market support.
