The NBA has 400 players, MLB has 1200 and the NFL has 1700. I would expect at least 4 times as many NFL players than NBA players popped. Plus the NFL is all about speed and bulk which is ideal for drug use. The NBA is about skill, not necessarily bulk. Kevin Durant couldn't even lift 90 pounds out of college but no one could guard him. Steph Curry is not a physical specimen but he's one of the best. Lebron has been a bull in a China shop since he was a teenager. His game is evolving as hes getting older and smarter. He's learned how to take off games and how not to go 100% for an entire game.
