20,000 to win 870? This was just a straight bet then no, not some parlay where that was the last leg? Painful either way of course - not sure why anyone would bet a -5000 or whatever favorite. That's just me though, but the risk/reward of something like that never seems worth it.

Probable thought it was easy money when i was young and started gambling i bet £180 on Australia to beat India in a test cricket series at odds of 1/8 they only draw this was like 14 years ago i done these stupid bets.

to win $100.00 im sure the odds were shorter then that though. haven't been following the first round. if they were 18-21 pts fav then the ML would of been near double probably -6000 so 6000 to win 100

Yeah but come on know not to a nobody Team that most people had to look up online because they had no clue who they were.Virginia probably shouldn't have gotten far but getting blown out to a 16 seed is inexcusable.

Books gave out bad ML odds on UMCB. Most were around +2500 when it should have been at least +4000. Not sure what UVA short odds were though.

This gambler probably parlayed UVA with another heavy chalk.

It was a money line parlay with 3 huge favorites (UVA, Purdue, and NC), that had "no chance" to lose.... Ooops!

A few years back I had a $100 12 team parlay some spread some ML went 11 and 1 when
Duke was like a 14 point Fav and just had to win and lost in the first round.
