I have no clue why when you have two 7 footers on the floor, you are inviting the other team to shoot wide open 3s. It makes no sense. Make those guys drive to the basket. It's a harder shot shooting over Ayton or Ristic, than it is shooting a wide open 3 with nobody within 5 feet of you. I don't care if they are 3 feet behind the line, you can't give that up.

Buffalo would kill that zone. They have 4 guards and a forward that can shoot 3's on the floor. They set high picks that is very difficult to guard in zone. You have to play a team like this man to man because they are going to wear you out from deep. Zona settling for poor 3's as they are getting desperate. Ayton is getting tripled teamed when he touches the ball.

Miller sucks, but Ayton not touching the ball is why guards are what wins in March. Regardless who the best player on the team is, more times than not the ball is in the guards hands. Which is also why all the best players in the NBA are guards or wings. No one wants to play through bigs anymore.

Even Shaq couldn't dominate and carry a team in ncaa tourney. Sampson, Hakeem, and Ewing were the last of that breed before the 3 pt shot took over.

All I'm hearing about is Arizona as a Final Four team. They've already crowned DA as the best big man in the last 30 years. That tells me AZ is coming in cocky and possibly flat. Yep, the 3 pointer has become the equalizer in basketball. It has totally changed the landscape where the big man has been effectively neutered.

Hard to fire a guy after you gave him full support less than a month ago. Its not like this is anything new. He has been one of the top recruiters while at Arizona and hasn't done a damn thing in 9 years. They have seemed to be fine with him being average for years.
