#37Look at his headlines
only thing he gets credited for is PREDICTING the future
not really a genius, his sidekicks did all the work and the theories that are "proven" were done without himComment -

#44I didn't realize he had Lou Gehrig's disease. How did he live so long? That usually like a five-year death sentence, I thought.

#51They exist, apparently just outside of your realm of comprehension.Originally posted by SnowballBlack holes and the big bang only exist in mathematical theory.
These beliefs are not scientific, and neither was Stephen Hawking.
You suffer from cognitive dissonance so you concoct alternate facts or explanations to create harmony amongst your beliefs.
The human brain is a fascinating thing. To be able to convince yourself that you are more correct about black holes and the big bang theory than Hawkings, even though you nothing about theoretical physics and applied mathematics, it's truly phenomenal.Comment -

#52Spot on. It also illustrates the quote I posted in post #24 "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance; it is the illusion of knowledge." --Stephen HawkingOriginally posted by The KrakenThey exist, apparently just outside of your realm of comprehension.

#53The Masons met Hawking when Elaine took a job as his caregiver in the 80s. At the time, David Mason worked as an engineer and was slated to help Hawking on a speech synthesizer — the one that Hawking himself created.Originally posted by TheMoneyShotHow did he cheat? Could he even move?
According to Vanity Fair, David Mason noted that he was a big fan of Hawking, saying that he “worshipped” him.
Hawking was also married when Mason started working for him, but the two grew very close to one another and ended up falling in love.
Mason left her husband of 15 years and their two sons to pursue a life with Hawking. Professor Hawking also left his family behind, getting a divorce from Jane and getting remarried to Mason less than one year later. The two exchanged vows on September 15, 1995, at the Cambridge Register Office. You can see a photo from their wedding day here.Comment
