of course everyone knows, just giving an example that makes wwe not a sport
also think wwe is more like a men's soap opera
So is the nfl

Sports media doesn't exist for your enjoyment, it exists to make money. If they can make money by covering it, then they cover it. If you don't like the fact that sports media discusses pro wrestling, consume other media.
Also, one could make a similar argument about SBR. If SBR is an industry watchdog, then why do they promote touts? The answer, of course, is because SBR is a business and can make money off touts. If people are offended, then they can leave the site.
It's basically the same argument.

I guess Id look at that as just trying to have all things covered kinda since they dont televise wrestling not sure if they ever have, with their clout Im sure at least in the past they could have gotten contracts. Theyre network prob would have went down faster if they had.

Now that I think about it, maybe they have televised wrestling back in the day I thought I remember seeing something on there before maybe it was old stuff though re-televised and didnt originally broadcast there.

Yea I was thinking I hope they dont start showing wrestling then Id assume theyre really desperate or intentionally trying to kill the network.

I wonder how many writers they have, prob a couple, they prob dont dispatch anyone to the matches, no interviews ever prob. Real wrestling fans prob never go to espn for their scoop on wrestling. I seriously cant believe wrestling still exists. I remember when I was around 9 and it started looking fishy to me, things didnt add up, the punches didnt look authentic, when you sling a guy into the ropes why does he play along only to bounce off the ropes and get pummeled or clotheslined, like in a real fight you wouldnt react that way if someone pulled you in a direction. I remember pointing this stuff out to my cousin of the same age at the time as I did Santa a few years earlier and he just didnt want to believe it, too much to give up, caused too much agony for him so he went along with the fantasy for a few more years lol.

Same reason Fox News and WWE have the highest ratings. They cater to absolute imbeciles who think other stuff is fake and their stuff is the real deal.

When youre watching it what are you looking for? Do you see it as performance art and the guys who make it look as real as possible are the best at it? Or is it more to do with how synchronized an opponent plays off another kinda like ballroom dancing or something.
