OP is a moron. Clips sold for 2 billion. Franchises in both leagues are valued as high as they have ever been. A few folk on twitter and on this forum claim they aren't as interested as they were before for whatever reason and here you are claiming the sky is falling. Like some wise man said earlier in this thread, "let me know when a franchise sells for less than what it was bought for". You gotta relax...

Viewership is down because the sports have become week. People want to see hits and hard fouls in basketball. The refs want to much attention and do not let them play.

Viewership for most programming is down due to a changing media landscape.. Oscars down, Olympics down, Golf down (until Tiger came back). To attribute the declines to players taking a stand and left wind media is nonsense. I expect we will continue to see declines across the board for most programming over the next 10 years. There are simply too many options competing for eyeballs.

There are simply too many alternative choices for kids and young adults today. T.V. is not the only game in town. Most young people I know want nothing to do with sports unless it involves a team from their home city. The black/white racial war has not helped. How many white people do you know watch the NBA? Very few because few whites do not give a caca about blacks. How many blacks do you know that watch the NHL? Same answer for the same reason. Blacks do not give a caca about whites.
