Its never an easy task to travel to foreign soil and bring home a victory for the 2nd leg. I just dont feel as though it really matters where these two meet , the outcome seems inevitable. This is not the same Basel team that defeated Man Utd at home 1 - 0 , a few months ago ( even though Man U dominated the majority of play ). They come into this game looking very average and lethargic the past few weeks, perhaps in some part to injured Midfielder Luca Zuffi. They had reeled off an 8 game win streak prior to his injury , and been 2Wns 0 Draws and 3 Losses since. In their last game @ Thun , they were 2 - 0 winners , yet were outplayed throughout. The previous home game vs lowly Luzern , they were 1 - 0 losers and again outplayed throughout. This stretch of poor play comes at a very bad time for them , as the likes of Silva , Aguero , Sterling , De Bruyne , Fernandinho and Gundogen....... come to town. I just dont see this team able to gain any real control in midfield, and will be hard pressed to keep up with City's overall speed ( even without Sane ).
