that shootout was very poor by Nashville. The one goal they scored hit the post, then hit the goalie in the back and went in.
Fortunately they don't play shootouts in the playoffs.
I often wonder how the league would be if they just counted tie games in the regular season like they used to. I guess the shootouts are entertaining, but that and the 3-on-3 overtime is hard to accept still for a hockey purist.

I agree it dilutes the entire game not to mention the efforts these players put in on both sides
