They asked Bele right before the half why and he answered kinda like he does, basically saying he thinks they have a better chance with what they have in. MINNEAPOLIS -- New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler, who didn't play in the team's 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, expressed his frustration after the game for his benching.
"They gave up on me. F---. It is what it is," Butler told ESPN's Adam Schefter after the game.
Butler, who played 97.8 percent of the defensive snaps in the regular season, had an illness earlier in the week but wasn't on the team's final injury report. Eric Rowe started in place of Butler on Sunday.
Against the Patriots, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles threw for 373 yards, three touchdowns, an interception and finished with a 106.1 passer rating.
"I could have changed that game," Butler added.

Might be better off getting rid of hoody before he runs their future any more into ground. I've heard he wanted to leave them in good shape but I think that all changed when craft sided w Brady, now it really looks like bill dismantling them so when he leaves it all goes to shit!

Yea I just read that the guy who started and everybody else was puzzled and didnt know until right before the game. They are always tight lipped over there and unless Butler talks we may never know.

malcom butler can tackle pretty well for a cb, pats were awful tackling today

Seattle was better roster vs roster in their SB vs NE. Atlanta was better last year. Jax was better 2 weeks ago. I'm just glad NE finally got beat. Philly went for it and didn't play not to lose in the 4th Q like these other guys.

Long term tho sure looks like he setting them up for failure when he leaves which I think be sooner than later. Prob stick around and draft bunch of scrubs w those picks he got for the qb's, or trade next 10 years of picks for mayfield!! Then bounce! Lol

Yea I agree. You know he never wanted to get rid of jimmy g, he would have rather got rid of Brady after this season, and you know it cut deep after making this unheard of prolonged dynasty to have the owner side with the qb cause they buddies! Parcells knew craft was a snake, now hoody does too and he ripping his team apart before he leaves!! Can't blame him.

They let Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins go. Hightower is always hurt. Let Blount go too....one of the best short yardage back in the NFL. It tells you how great Brady is to carry the 29th ranked defense with no real short yardage back and just keep winning.

I'm usually pretty tough in Brady to be honest, but 505 yards passing man, that should get it done. Defense failed them today. Brady and Gronk balled. The underneath routes were there all night.
