I tend to laugh when anybody starts to make comparisons to athletes from decades ago. Athletes in the modern game are much bigger and stronger, and usually faster.

Owens is most definitely one of the best WR's in my lifetime. He got the cold shoulder because he annoyed enough coaches and teammates, and media to some extent. No big deal if he is not first ballot.

I think it is ridiculous that Ray Lewis is in. They ran a 4-3 in Baltimore, of course he will get most tackles. Dudes could not cover receivers over the middle... just a huge personality.

I agree with all of that. More importantly, I think any HOF is BS. Those in charge of deciding always fuk it up... they allow politics and other crap to make the whole thing a mess. R&R HOF is the best example

I totally agree with you. Performance on the field. That being said - their are two different criteria for the NFL HOF and MLB HOF. The hits - the home runs - the strike outs happened. MLB writers voting is just too biased and axes to grind. MLB writers think they were endowed with the GOD syndrome?
