Both teams suck balls, just thought I'd open with that.
However the Phoenix Suns are proud owners of the worst home record in the NBA.
Not only that, Phoenix is a mess, all sorts of internal problems, teammates not gettig along etc. etc.
Anyway, here's my reasoning for backing the Mavs.
Suns are dead last in the NBA in defense.
They are 26th in the NBA in defending the guards and Mavs PG Dennis Smith is a nice little shooter, he ain't Steph Curry, but he gets 15 a game, shoould get 20 to tonight. Yogi off the bench should get some too.
Suns are ranked 30th in the NBA defending forwards and Harrison Barnes is the Mavs leading scorer with 18.5 per game, even 1000 year old Dirk might fill up the stat sheet.
Dallas is ninth ranked in the NBA in scoring defense, near the top in defending guards and should make life difficult tonight for Devin Booker Suns leading scorer at 25 per.
Suns don't match up well tonight.
Wesley Matthews should chew up Troy Daniels, Dennis Smith will neutralize Booker,
TJ Warren doesn't match up well against Harrison Barnes, and the two fossil centers (Dirk and Tyson Chandler) should be non factors.
Mavs win this in Phoenix, I think rather easily.
