#32It's one thing to take risk and another to be risky with money.
By choosing higher historical probability bets (assuming for the most part he's not seeking inefficiency and the market is mostly efficient {which isn't always true}) he doesn't seem to be taking a big risk.
But allowing the price of the bet to dictate how much he risks is poor management of his risk.
He should be keeping his bet unit the same for each bet. Readers would be surprised at what happens. Sure, his win streak won't produce as much, but the losses won't hurt the overall bankroll as much.
No matter how efficient the market is, the difference between a -400 and -600 when betting $400 or $600 is 50% and -400 to -800 is 100% more risk when laying to win $100 each time.
In sportsbetting, you simply can't justify that type risk management. Shit, if one play were worth twice as much risk as another play, there's no reason to make the other play.
In the end, only the big bets will make a difference.
But much respect to Otters, you've I've seen you explain why you do what you do and I believe that you are aware of your situation in total. You are experienced and have learned from that experience.
