the tribute to tom petty was a disgrace. The performance was great but the fact the show only had 1 song is garbage. That was the main reason I watched after I read some story so they must have changed something because there was supposed to be more songs.

Overall, it just wasn't very entertaining. The performances were meh, the music was meh and the amount of commercials just made me lose any interest I might have had. The amount of commercials was ridiculous.

I figured everyone in here would be mad about the politics. Even though I tend to not agree with any of you politically, it seemed a little ridiculous, like trying to grasp at anything that will get attention.

Politics aside it was still a terrible show. Missed Kendrick at the beginning (because WHAT FUKKING AWARD SHOW STARTS AT 6:30 CENTRAL) but I heard he was great. Gaga was good as someone else said. This lady called SZA was good too, I never heard of her before but she clearly had talent. Everything else sucked. Yes I am including Stapleton and Donald Glover and Bruno Mars and everyone else that’s being called amazing. But especially the folks who played Tears in Heaven. Those guys, whoever they are, were awful, specifically the third gentleman who sang last. That shit was a disgrace. Eric Clapton is still alive, I don’t know why not just wheel him out there.

The Grammys and shows like The Oscars are in a freefall. deservedly so. Their products are terrible for the most part. Unoriginal and forgetful.

Remember the days when a new song came out and you knew right away it was an instant classic? Not saying that doesn't happen anymore but not nearly as it did before.

When was the last year there were several awesome movies were up for an Oscar? 1999? Not saying there haven't been good movies since, but tv series are more entertaining for the most part.
