    2nd H NHL Predictions
Right out the gate to start the 2nd H after the All Star Break we get to see some interesting scheduling and see who's heading toward the postseason
Vegas - as high as everyone is on them , go straight into a 6G road trip . It's not against Bottom dwellers either .
I could honestly see them going 1-5 , 2-4 on this upcoming trip .
Calgary , Winnipeg, Minnesota, Washington , Pitt and San Jose . I wouldn't be that suprised if somehow they didn't win a damn game . That's some good teams , also play well at home .
I'll be playing against them probably all 6

Winnipeg - they get the opposite , 10 straight at home and are Top 3 with their home record . They can easily pickup some serious points coming straight out of the Break . Expect them to win 7 or so , maybe more being at home .
I'll be playing then as well being at home

I think there's value in some of the futures especially in the Pacific Division and Western Conference with Vegas being the Favorite
I think Vegas falters , mainly on the road and should lose more than 2 at home the 2nd H , good bit of playoff teams are rolling into Vegas 2nd H . Add on Jets should pass Vegas after Week 1 due to scheduling , so like the potential for later on down the road .

Some futures I'm playing based off expectations , scheduling
    To win Pacific Division
    .5* Kings +1000
    .5* San Jose +1000
.25* Oilers +3000 need a big time winning streak but they can do it , worth a small shot

    To win Western Conference
    .75* Nashville +600
    .75* Winnipeg +650
    .5* St Louis +725

    See how it plays out
    Good luck to everyone

I like your analysis on the Jets. I have them at +750 to win the West which I agree they have a solid chance at and at excellent value.

2nd half does look tougher for Vegas but think they survive this road trip no worse than 3-3

I'll be taking them @ Flames Tuesday.

Think road teams gain some advantage having to get in game mode earlier after the break as well.

Opti , good possibility , if they want one , it's Calgary since they're horrible at home , play great on the road . The other 5 , tough sledding for the Knights .
10 of 17 home games for Vegas is against current playoff teams should the season end today , so just believe good value on the others if Vegas even fades a little . That played a huge role in picking what I did .
I think overall , best team in the West is Nashville , home , away , all around team but scheduling is huge in any sport . Jets I think has best path to #1 seed .
But should be an interesting 2nd H .
Tampa, Bruins and Caps look like tops inn the Eastern

Have to fade them for value right now if want to bet season props I guess. But would like to see Jets and Vegas play it out in the West.

It's a really good season overall. Anything could happen in just about every conference they are all so close. Especially Metro. Think 6 of the 8 have some shot there still.

good writeup by Slipknot and good discussion.

Winnipeg definitely legit, but so is Vegas. You talk about Vegas faltering, I think that will depend on Fleury if he keeps playing as well as he's been, Vegas should continue right on their path. Backup goalie Subban also plays well when called upon. Vegas practically has a playoff spot already locked up, so they will be in the post-season.

Look at every team in the league with their 2 goalies. Almost all of them have quite a drop off with backup goalie. Nashville has starter Rinne looking great, but backup Saros is trending down this year. Hellebuyck out of this world for Winnipeg, but backup Mason nothing special.

For the stretch run to the playoffs and beyond, I like a team to have 2 solid goalies if possible. Vegas has that. I'm not making any huge prediction about the Stanley Cup....I was completely surprised by Vegas this year. After seeing their performance so far, it's clear to me they play with high-energy and hungry to win, like they have something to prove. So keep that up, with great goalkeeping, and they can go far.

By the way, Anaheim also has a pretty good goalie tandem. Need to make up some ground with players returning from injuries.

I've been looking for spots to fade Vegas all season

They don't seem to care, they break the mold

If they have home ice in the playoffs, they could be dangerous

Jets I like a lot, Hutchinson makes his debut in the crease tonight after tearing it up in the AHL
Will be interesting to see how he fares against a top NHL team in the Lightning

Also think Rangers will be a big seller before the trade deadline and look more towards next year

A lot of guys there in their last year, 2nd to last year

Will be some good guys on the move this year

Never test the heart of a back 2 back champion!! They will get it together and have a strong 2nd half !!

Think LA is too old and slow.
                          NYR are terrible...fade.

Look for Columbus to have a pretty good second half of the season I’m going to be tailing them a lot
