Good Big 12/SEC matchup here. Two dynamic freshman point guards in Trae Young and Collin Sexton. Oklahoma likes to spread the floor and fire from deep while Bama tends to rely a little bit more on their athleticism. The problem with OU is they really don’t defend. Look for Bama to attack the paint and get plenty of east buckets in this one.

I’m not 100% agreeing he’s the best player in colllege basketball, but even if he is that doesn’t mean much I mean look at Simmons, McDermott, over the years the best player in the country hasn’t necessarily won a ton without a solid team around him. Young’s supporting cast is not great, and when he has down days they struggle. Young is young (18 years old) and inexperienced when it comes to road games so naturally it will be more of a struggle.

When I saw this game on the schedule I had doubts about OU winning. The line confirmed my feelings.

This is a similar setup to win OU played Ben Simmons and LSU a few years ago. All anyone talked about was Ben Simmons and how great he was. This year the talk is about Trae Young....Buddy Hield lit up that game because he had something to prove himself. Look for Sexton to have a huge impact today.

Sexton is a great player in his own right that no one is talking about. I think he makes a statement today.

Also, this isn’t football but with a top 15 Oklahoma coming to town, Bama fans should pack the place and be rowdy for this game. Home court will be a factor.

I feel like Bama wins this by 3-4 points. I hope I’m wrong.

This will be a tough game for OU. It’s harder for role players to knock down jump shots in an environment like they’ll be in today.

I’m sure Young will get his but he needs to supporting cast to play well and I’m not sure they will.

Either way it goes, it has been an outstanding game. Trae is the truth. Even getting hounded by double teams, he still gets buckets. He does make some lazy passes. It’s a shame he doesn’t get much help.
