#9Line was exactly what I thought it would be considering Vikings were favored to win NFC, With that said, happy to be on Eagles +3 right now.Comment -

#12It is incorrect to judge the validity of a line based on the score of the game.
It shows a fundamental lack of understanding of multiple things, including the purpose of the line, the purpose of the line relative to the final score, as well as some of the driving forces of market movement.

Let’s simplify this, the line is where it is because the public thinks Foles sucks based on Oakland and Dallas games.Comment -

Agreed champlain, there's always build up to create that line. The books have the pulse on the public, sometimes they make it look they don't, but that's usually to drive money a certain direction.
Mistakes rarely happen, even when it looks like it.

#19I was thinking about that, it seems so rare. Turns out...
No team has ever won a Super Bowl in their home stadium, nor even played a Super Bowl in their home stadium. A few have come close:The closest have been the San Francisco 49ers who played Super Bowl XIX in Stanford Stadium, rather than Candlestick Park, and the Los Angeles Rams who played Super Bowl XIV in the Rose Bowl, rather than the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. In both cases, the stadium in which the Super Bowl was held was perceived to be a better stadium for a large, high-profile event than the stadiums the Rams and 49ers were playing in at the time -- Super Bowl

#22Did not see this coming.
But neither did anyone else, or we would have seen somebody posting a nice alt line on Philly.
Thought it was going to be close, but all my bet had Philly + points.
Big books must have offered Phil -10 or -14, right?Comment -

#23The Vikings will have to replace OC Pat Shurmur when he takes over the Giants. Two key names they'll consider: Former Broncos OC Mike McCoy & former Giants coach Ben McAdoo. Both are in the mix for other jobs, too.Comment -
