Another interesting "stat"

5 teams have won a playoff game with 78% drunken fans, 63% fans with a criminal record, AND with a home stadium with a criminal court and jail. All 5 lost the next week and all 5 were the Eagles.

The stat is meaningless btw.

One of those games was Denver Broncos with Tebow. They were a 9 point home dog in that game and then a 15-16 point dog in New England. Of course they’d get blown out.

Another game was the Cardinals who were a solid TD underdog the following week in New Orleans.

The Seahawks beat the packers on a walkoff td and then we know how they lost the super bowl.

I'm missing the other two games but you get the point.

I actually think it’s a good stat that actually makes a lot of sense. A lot of emotion at the end of that game for the Vikes. I think Vikes will be flat. Eagles seem like right play +3. At home, everyone counting them out already (just like last week) and a ton of emotion/Over celebration from Vikes last week.

Anything can happen but rather have Eagles +3.

Home team has won 4 straight, but it’s also been 2010(?) since a 1 seed won the nfc. What previous teams have done bears nothing on this game. It’s cliche, but team who makes the least amount of mistakes Sunday will win

Oh right, Cardinals beat Green Bay twice on walkoffs. Larry Fitz did it two years ago and then they got whooped at Carolina in the nfc championship. Again, they were an underdog in that game.

Agree you can’t just use a stat and run with it but I can see how last second emotional wins can create let downs or flat play the next game. Probably less in pro sports than in college. You see it all the time in college.

I still think Eagles at home +3 is right side given situation (and I do think that emotional win will do something to Vikes...good or bad) but anything can happen.
