This thread may be exaggerating the line movement a bit. The move from 9.5 down to 7.5 is not as significant as this thread keeps indicating.

Normally non market moving money can easily trigger this move but it doesn't have to; and moves like this can also take place without the incoming money.

Coming off of 10 or onto 7 would be far more significant of a move and indicate a more protectionist strategy. We've seen this with BM but they are still pricing the -7 high.

The significance of some of these NFL numbers has been going through a change over time but the betting public not understanding or overestimating the significance remains one of the biggest advantages the some gamblers, as well as the books, have over most of the marketplace.
