I think last year was FSU’s best team we’ll ever see, with 2 NBA draft pick + others that were projected. Coach Hamilton is just not big time, so I think they’ll be good at home going forward but not much more.
Speaking of defending home court, I expect coach Larinaga’s squad to be real at home this season and in the future. Bruce Brown & Ja’Quan Newton are good enough to lead the canes to knock off Duke tonight, and once 5 star Lonnie Walker gets going watch out.
But of all the FL squads, I actually think Florida could go the deepest this year (final four dark horse) with the experienced backcourt leadership of Chiozza (remember that ice in the veins buzzer beater to get to last year’s Elite Eight) and Allen, and the sharp shooters of Hudson and Koulechov.

Miami winning for most of 30 mins... melt down while duke goes straight fire from 3, can’t even cover the 4.5. Ugh. Gotta constantly remind myself that you’re betting against Duke & the refs when you take any big name team. Duke gets the calls always unless they play a BC type team or a Cinderella in the tourney.
