franchise tag is bad for RB's in their prime because it
prohibits them from achieving job security which is
what running backs need more than other players
their shelf life and injury risks are far greater
Bell is right and should get a contract.

No such thing as job security in this league.
Signing bonus is the only way a player can get "guaranteed $$" above and beyond the year they are playing.
In addition, tons of contracts are now loaded up with performance incentives.
