Taking the Buffs at home. Arizona State got off to a great start and shot up the rankings but they finally lost the other night. Tonight they may very well drop another in what should be a fairly hostile environment.

I think this is a really bad matchup for Colorado.

-Freshman PG has to guard senior ASU guards all night.
-ASU shoots the 3 ball well (top 50 3pt %) while Colorado defends the perimeter poorly (#176 opponent 3pt %, #193 opponent pts from 3)
-ASU turnover margin +4.7, CU turnover margin -2.4
-ASU already won in Lawrence and played a close game in Tucson so not afraid of the road game.
-Still break for students so doubt student section is in play
-Sun Devils been training with those oxygen limiting masks to prep for high altitude
-ASU gets F Lawrence back tonight, he was good overseas last summer and in exhibition games before injury, and adds needed depth & height

Did you think ASU was a top 5 team before the season? Of course not. They’re due for some regression. I think they’re good but I don’t like the spot for them here.

Now having said that, I got a bad line and don’t like the movement but I’m already locked in.

I brought the matchup stats to the thread cuz you sure didn’t. If you knew all those stats yet saw something that outweighed all that, then you certainly didn’t share it. But knowledge isn’t your thing so I doubt you could’ve named more than 1 player on either team. I’m not losing sleep over 1x loss, even if I think a play is +EV shit happens and nothing’s guaranteed. CU played its best game and ASU its worst game of the season so they defied many of the stats.

Anyways congrats on hitting the ml, it was great ml odds to have going into a coin flip OT. I’m sure you will use this win to pump your chest for several weeks. Enjoy.

No I just laugh at guys like you who try to outcap the books as if all those things you listed weren’t already factored into the line.

And that’s funny you say I don’t know the players. You are so naive, guy. You’ve got over 100 plays on the year with all the research you’ve done and nothing to show for it. Meanwhile I post a play here or there and have been easily hitting at a clip of upwards of 60%. Probably closer to 70%. And that’s with taking moneyline dogs as opposed to enormous moneyline faves like you.

I do try to outsmart the books as well, but only bc I think it's a fun hobby. Sincerely doubt I'll ever get rich doing this. Even if I was crushing books, I don't wager enough to make much of a difference in my life financially.

You can outsmart them by following the game and understanding spots and when a team is overvalued. Bottom line here is that Arizona state was due for some regression. They’re a nice team but essentially this same group of players was an under .500 squad last year. Laying 9 on the road in altitude was too much.

I get it. When I pay attention to NBA, I will use Denver and Utah (the venues, not necessarily the teams) in a similar fashion due to elevation/rest.

Colorado had just been so brutal that I didn't pay a bit of mind to this game. I guess that's part of your buy low, sell high tactic.
