Rams sitting guys they obviously not interested in this game. They rather face Philly in the second round than see the Vikings. I'm big on the 49ers this week. Anybody see this different?

I wouldn't take the Rams +7, and i'm a Rams fan. The Rams are resting Whitworth and Sullivan on the OL. I liked Williams as a back-up LT some years ago but he's not the same player now. Mannion hasn't shown he can move the ball effectively more than 5 yards downfield. Brown is a decent RB to sub for Gurley, (and Davis wowed in preseason), but the story will likely be on the other side of the line. Garoppolo looks fantastic when he isn't pressured. Donald is sitting and Longacre was put on IR this week. Whether Quinn will play is unknown. Without pressure I expect the Rams defense to ship points. If Mannion were to get hurt McVay might have to put Goff in and put the starters in to protect him.

The Niners want to win this game to build something for next year. The Rams could care less and it is to their advantage to be the 4th seed in the playoffs since they would avoid playing Minnesota and instead get Philly in the divisional round. Its hard not to like the Niners in this situation especially with the Rams sitting their best players.Comment -
